Social Security Disability Appeals Lawyer Cheyenne, Wyoming

Preparing strong challenges when decisions go against ailing clients

When you are suffering from a long-term injury that prevents you from working, a denial of your disability claim can be devastating. However, several chances for reversal exist. At Mark C. Anzman, Attorney at Law, I have spent more than two decades fighting to appeal Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) denials. By preparing comprehensive arguments and arguing successfully before judges, I have helped clients in Colorado and Wyoming obtain the justice and benefits they deserve to support themselves and their families.

Experienced counsel for the entire SSD appeals process

Since 1992, clients have relied on my firm to deliver the strong advocacy they need at all stages of the SSD appeals process. Those stages include:

  • Request for reconsideration — Sometimes, a different perspective or new information is all that’s required to reverse your denial. At this phase, I complete and submit the appeal paperwork promptly and completely. Though most requests are rejected, the process can help to organize your evidence and claims for the hearing phase.
  • Hearing before Administrative Law Judge — If the denial remains in force after reconsideration, I will argue the merits of your case before an administrative law judge (ALJ). A persuasive appeal in person often provides a more complete and accurate portrayal of your situation than documents alone provide. The good news is that many denials are overturned at this stage; the bad news is that it can take a long time to have your hearing scheduled.
  • Appeals Council — The Appeals Council determines whether the ALJ acted properly in the hearing. This body reviews cases from around the United States, but reversals and remands are rare.
  • Federal Court — This is the last stage of an appeal. If the decision that went against you is not legally sustainable, I will file a brief on your behalf outlining the errors that occurred.

No matter how your case proceeds. I will always explain what each step entails so that you can make a fully informed decision on how your matter is handled.

Front Range lawyer with significant experience overcoming initial denials

At Mark C. Anzman, Attorney at Law, I’ve helped clients throughout the front range succeed on re-review of their disability applications. Denials can occur for various reasons, including a lack of supporting medical evidence or failures to persuade the decision maker of the length or severity of the ailment. Another ground for denial may involve whether the claimant is earning too much income to be classified as disabled.  If your initial claim is denied, I will prepare the appeal promptly so that it can be reviewed as quickly as possible.

Advising clients with the information that administrators don’t tell them

Having advocated for more than two decades on behalf of people seeking Social Security disability benefits, I offer clients an edge by arming them with essential information that cannot be found on the SSA’s websites. If your initial claim and request for reconsideration have been denied, I can help you plan for the very long wait that will likely occur before the hearing before the administrative law judge, although certain afflictions sometimes receive expedited treatment. When you meet with me for your free consultation, I provide detailed advice informed by years of experience.
